Important Safety notice relating to Electric Blankets

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading wishes to make the public aware of two product safety recalls which relate to electric blankets.
 
Sleeping Beauty Tie-On Under Blankets sold by Debenhams
   
This recall only applies to two models with specific production dates.  The model number and production date can be found on the label stitched to the blanket seam.  Please see the example above.  The model number is marked on the top of the label and the production date is marked on the bottom right of the label.

The two affected models are:

SB1001 SINGLE TIE-ON UNDER BLANKET
SB1002 DOUBLE TIE-ON UNDER BLANKET

The specific production dates are: 09/11 and 08/12.

The blankets were sold in Debenhams stores (and online at Debenhams.com and Debenhams.ie) between October 2011 and June 2013.

Owners of affected blankets should stop using the blanket immediately and return the item to any Debenhams store for a full refund.

Morphy Richards Over Blankets

This recall only applies to two models.  The model number can be found on the rating label.

The two affected models are:

75310 SINGLE OVER BLANKET
75312 DOUBLE OVER BLANKET

The blankets were sold in national and independent retailers and on Morphy Richards’ website between October 2008 and January 2010.

Owners of affected blankets should stop using the blanket immediately and contact Morphy Richards by email (blankets@morphyrichards.co.uk) or by telephone (01709 572570) - telephone lines are open Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 4:00pm.
