Lifeboat helps troubled catamaran

by isleofman.com 19th August 2013
Ramsey's lifeboat crew rescued two sailors who got into difficulty off the northern coast this weekend.

The alarm was raised at around 2pm on Sunday when the Hobie Cat capsized off Ramsey.

The pair righted the catamaran twice but water taken in left the boat too unstable to sail.

The Cat was towed by lifeboat towards the nearest beach and dragged onto the shore to safety by crew members in dry suits.

Sunday afternoon's shout was the third call-out for the Ann and James Ritchie in six days.
