Consultant backs Chief Ministers tough stance on obesity

A public health consultant’s given his backing to Chief Minister Allan Bell who said parents who allow their children to become obese are effectively neglecting them.
Mr Bell said failing to feed children properly and give them enough exercise could be a form of child neglect.
Dr Paul Emerson says the issue of childhood obesity is a serious one that the Island needs to face up to soon.
And he welcomed Mr Bell’s tough stance:
