by isleofman.com 21st August 2013

Local Insurance broker, Kestrel Insurance, known for their Manxman policies, has opened a branch in Peel. The new site, which is the fourth general insurance office for the company, is situated at 36, Michael Street. Residents can visit the new premises to purchase their Motor, Home, Travel, Pet and Boat Insurance, as well as their Life cover. Local companies are also catered for, with the broker’s dedicated on island Commercial department.

Branch Manager, Liam Hutton, commented “The opening of our new Peel branch highlights our aim to provide a local service to the local community. We understand that Insurance can be complex and many people feel more comfortable with being able to discuss their requirements with a broker face to face, so we know how important it is for our clients to be able to drop into one of our branches – it’s very reassuring to talk to an expert directly. In addition, from our 24 years of experience on the Island, we know that local people want to buy policies that are tailored to the Isle of Man. We would like to welcome all local residents and invite them to come down and see our new branch – you can’t miss us, we’re the shop with the bright red frontage where Michael Street Pharmacy used to be.”

In times of economic uncertainty, it’s encouraging to see a local business flourishing and growing. Over the past few years, Kestrel have increased their headcount significantly, creating new roles and new departments. In addition, the company supports local employment schemes to help get Manx workers into rewarding jobs. The company then provide in house training, mentoring and professional qualifications for all their employees.
