A woman who handed a young soldier's World War 1 medal to a Manx museum is being asked to come forward - and pass on its history.
The medal, issued to Private Robert Callister of Baldrine who died at the Battle of the Somme in March 1918, was donated to the Manx Aviation and Military Museum at the weekend.
But the woman left before staff could take notes on its local connections.
The museum at Ronaldsway is collecting donations for an exhibition next year, covering the exploits of Manx men and women in the Great War.
