Options available for GCSE students, says education official

There are plenty of options for Island youngsters who didn't achieve the GCSE success they'd hoped for in last week's results.

It has been a good year overall, with 69 per cent of students achieving the top grades, the second-highest figure on record.

But for those who were disappointed, Co-ordinator For 11-19 Education Paul Craine says there's plenty of time to put things right, through exam resits or starting a new course.

Two years later, a poor set of A-level grades can see some doors shut forever and life-changing decisions made.

But Mr Craine says as a first hurdle, GCSE results are not a make-or-break moment:Clip 1
