Douglas RNLI receives legacy donation

by isleofman.com 28th August 2013

Regular TT and MGP visitors, Sue and Garry Fox from Nottingham, recently presented a cheque for ?1635 to Douglas RNLI lifeboat volunteer coxswain Neal Corran.

The funds were part of a charitable bequest made by their very good friend, the late Olive Craddock.  Sue and Garry took the opportunity of being on the Island for this year’s MGP and Classic TT to present the cheque personally.

Six out of ten lifeboat launches are made possible because of legacy gifts. After providing for those you care for, please consider leaving just a small proportion of what’s left over to help the RNLI provide the training and equipment our volunteer crews need to operate in safe conditions, well into the future.

Each and every gift, regardless of size, counts. For example, just ?16 will purchase a pair of gloves to protect a volunteer’s hands and ?1,214 provides a year’s lifesaving training for a crew member.
