Amazing amount raised for Hospice

by isleofman.com 28th August 2013

Pictured are Lee Watts and Jonathan Sleight with Frances Moore and Terri Cook of Hospice’s fundraising department. Lee and Jonathan raised the amazing amount of ?2,065 for the local charity, in memory of Jonathan’s mum and Lee’s mother-in-law, Jennifer Sleight.

Lee is currently living in Muscat, Oman with his wife Janine and two young children. He successfully completed the "Fahal Island Swim", an open water swim in the shark-infested waters of the Gulf of Oman in May this year. Lee completed the 4.3km swim in 1hr 42mins, and is looking forward to improving his time next year!

Jonathan took part in the Liam Ball memorial spring triathlon in Derry, Northern Ireland, also in May this year. He and his soon to be sister in law Nicola Duffy swam, cycled and ran their first triathlon together, and enjoyed it so much that they went on to do another triathlon in August in Belfast! Jonathan's next triathlon will be on the Isle of Man in September.

Terri and Frances thanked the men for all their brave endeavours for Hospice and for raising this fantastic donation.
