by isleofman.com 29th August 2013

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault of woman in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Detective Inspector Mark Newey had the following to say, “Between the hours of 03:30 and 04:45 on Tuesday 27th August 2013, in the vicinity of Glen Falcon Gardens, on Broadway, Douglas a woman was assaulted.

Despite it being the early hours of the morning, I know that there were both pedestrians and motorists out and about at that time. I am appealing for any persons who may have been walking around the area of the gardens or were travelling past in a vehicle between these times to come forward to help the Police with their enquires.

Any phone calls should be made to Police Headquarters switchboard on 631212 and ask for either myself, DC Morgan or DC Harrison of the CID, alternatively a call can be made to Crimestoppers.”

Isle of Man Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555111. Crimestoppers is an independent Manx charity established to enable callers to pass information regarding criminal activity anonymously. Crimestoppers is not an agency of the Police. Crimestoppers will never ask callers for any personal details.
