Brain wins second consecutive Manx National Two Day Trial

Local rider Josh Brain won the Manx National Two Day Trial for the second year in succession at the weekend.

He only dropped one mark over the two days, to finish the Expert class nine clear of Dan Thorpe, a previous two-time winner of the event.

Ben Sprigg was third, a further nine marks back.

Father-and-son duo Robin and Ben Luscombe only dropped one mark as they won the Sidecar class.

Rupert and Chris Kimber were second.

Jamie Teare and Jane Birchall pipped local pair Nigel Crellin and Chris Molyneux for third.

And in the Clubman class Darren Wasley (8) took the honours ahead of Tom Swindlehurst (13), and Nigel Crowther (14).
