An inquest into the death of a 44-year-old Ramsey man has been opened and adjourned at Douglas courthouse.

Malcolm James Cowley had lived alone in his house in Bircham Avenue and his body was discovered there on August 20.

Coroner of Inquests Jane Hughes released Mr Cowley's body to allow funeral arrangements to be made.

Whilst there were no suspicious circumstances, police said investigations into the death were ongoing, and Mrs Hughes adjourned the inquiry to a date to be set.
