Major works to gas mains in the Tromode Park area of Douglas over a two weeks period later this month have been announced by Manx Gas.
From Monday, 23rd September until Monday 7th October traffic, including buses, will not be able to access Tromode Park estate from the junction with Ballanard Road while work is carried out on the link road. The alternative access route for traffic will be via the bottom end of Tromode Road.
Manx Gas spokesperson Helen Abbott said: “These are essential works which involve the deepening of gas mains. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause but the safety of the public is of paramount importance while the work takes place.”
