Update on reservoir water levels

by isleofman.com 4th September 2013

The Water and Sewerage Authority would like to update the public regarding the reservoir water levels and issue a reminder about the wise use of water.

The forecast is for the dry spell to continue and, as a result, the situation is being monitored very closely.

The current stock levels are:

•             Sulby – 74%
•             Clypse – 53%
•             Kerrowdhoo – 50%
•             West Baldwin – 63%

Chief Executive Officer Peter Winstanley said: ‘The Authority’s dry weather plan has proved effective in maintaining the stock level in the West Baldwin Reservoir by pumping water from Sulby Reservoir over Beinn-y-Phott and into the West Baldwin catchment.

‘However, as there is still no significant rainfall forecast in the near future, we would ask customers to be mindful of this and to use water wisely.’

This is your drinking water. Please look after it.
