Police say that a man they had been trying to trace for the last week has been arrested.
Stefan Proverbs was located and detained by Police this morning (Wed) at an address in Douglas.
Officers had wanted to speak to him in connection with a serious assault at a flat in Douglas last week which left a 23 year old man needing surgery.
They thought it likely that Mr Proverbs was still on the Island and had issued a photograph of him to media.
A local man was also arrested this morning in connection with impeding Mr Proverb's arrest.
