Atkinson earns place at Plymouth

Manx swimmer Charlotte Atkinson has earned a swimming and academic scholarship at Plymouth College.

As well as studying for her "A" levels, Charlotte will train with the Plymouth Leander Swimming Club following in the wake of another Manx swimmer Grant Halsall.

Charlotte will be coached by Olympic coach Jon Rudd.

Charlotte recently won seven medals at the Island Games in Bermuda, including two golds, and now holds 3 Island Games record times.

She also holds 69 Manx records and has achieved Glasgow Commonwealth Games consideration times in 12 different events on 43 occasions.
