Ramsey recital for international pianist

A precociously talented young international pianist will perform in the Isle of Man this evening (Monday).

Jordanian-born Karim Said is a protege of conductor and pianist Daniel Barenboim.

He's played with the Berlin Philharmonic and Moscow Conservatoire orchestras and performed at the Proms.

He now studies and conducts in London.

Karim Said has been invited to the Island by Ramsey Music Society and will give an up-close-and-personal recital at Ramsey Grammar School.

The concert's open to all and vice chairman of the society Leonard Singer is extending a special invitation to aspiring young Manx pianists:
