Commissioners hope for fitting ship milestone tribute

Ramsey Commissioners say it’s important there is a fitting celebration of an Island milestone this autumn.

The Star of India is the oldest active sailing ship in the world and is based in San Diego.

The Manx-built vessel was constructed in Ramsey and commissioners’ administration officer, John Donnelly, hopes a link-up with Island residents will mark the 150th anniversary in November:
