Ramsey civic service being held on Sunday September 29th

Ramsey Town Commissioners’ civic service will be held on Sunday September 29th at 3pm at Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Maughold Church, Queen’s Promenade, Ramsey.

The service will be preceded by a parade leaving from Ramsey town hall in which Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Captain Nigel Malpass will be joined by his fellow Ramsey Town Commissioners together with members of the legislature and judiciary, chairmen of other local authorities and representatives of local uniformed organisations.

Those wishing to participate in the parade, which will be led by Ramsey Town Band, are requested to assemble in front of the town hall at 2.30pm. 

Members of the public are also invited to attend the service where the opening prayer will be read by the Rev Christopher Lowdon and the sermon delivered by the chairman’s chaplain, the Rev Fr Brian O’Mahony.

Musical interludes will be provided by Mrs Marlene Hendy and Mrs Dylis Sowry.

After the service Captain Malpass will be pleased to welcome the congregation and all other participants to the town hall where light refreshments will be served.
