Snooker player Lee banned for 12 years

by isleofman.com 25th September 2013
Snooker player Stephen Lee has been banned for 12 years after being found guilty of seven match-fixing charges.
The former world number 5 was said to have deliberately lost matches, and frames, between 2008 and 2009.
Lee's former manager, Island-based businessman Neal Clague, was accused of being involved in the match fixing scandal in a report published by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association.
He denies the allegations and says evidence from the sport’s governing body should have exonerated him.
There's no word yet on whether Lee intends to appeal his ban.
