Hospice was delighted to be the beneficiary of a raffle held at the launch of a new bespoke furniture company on the Island. Simon and Kel Smith set up the company during the last year and was delighted to have made enough pieces to have a launch at the Hodgson Loom gallery at Laxey Woollen Mills, Laxey. The preview evening was attended by over 60 guests who commented on the beautiful wooden furniture and unique pieces.
Mary Doyle, PR and Marketing Manager for Hospice thanked the couple for their support, their very kind donation of over ?100 to Hospice as proceeds of the raffle and their generosity in providing an auction prize for the charity’s black pearl ball.
She added: “I love the uniqueness of the work, the items are truly bespoke.” “With Christmas coming the bespoke Christmas ‘distressed’ tree is so unusual – the perfect gift for someone who has everything and wants to give a different kind of gift.”
