The office of the newly appointed Coroner for Ayre and Garff, Peter Carling, has been reinstated in Ramsey town hall.
The move comes after the retirement of former coroner John Quilleash and his temporary successor opening an office at 10 Parliament Street, which is now closed.
Located on the first floor of the town hall, the coroner’s office is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 12.30pm. To contact the office telephone 815899 or email ramseycoroner@manx.net.
Separately, Ramsey Town Commissioners remain in discussion with government over proposals to close Ramsey’s civil registry and centralise the service in Douglas. Members are hopeful that continuing constructive dialogue will lead to the vital community service being retained for the benefit of the people of Ramsey and the north of the Island.
