The Ramsey mens darts league got off to a flier on Tuesday night.
Last years champs, The Stanley, had a potential banana skin fixture against The Mitre and the scoreline proved it running out 6-3 winners but the champs were 3-1 down so well done on the comeback spearheaded by their star man Barry Sharpe complete with 4x100.
The young guns who so nearly won last year showed they are ready for the challenge this year with a very impresive win over the always slow starting Commie Raven they also have their own star play in Jamie Kelly and with 5x100+ and a 140 showing he's keen for titles this year.
The Commie, complete with the Walsh family, showed their muscle with a demolition of the Bar Logo, 8-1 the score, Chris McConnell their best this week with 4 x 100+ scores.
Final game of the night was a struggle before it even started as the RAOB could only muster 4 players for their fixture against my title favourites Plough A but lost out 8-1 , two notables here with the ever impressive Geoff Howland hitting 3x100 + 2x140 and the leagues first 180. Also Chris Wade needs a mention after making his comeback after a long lay off but didn't show any cobwebs in knocking in 100 2x140 and this weeks highest finish of 109 and the best leg of 18 darts.
