Adult Services Roadshows

by isleofman.com 27th September 2013
This autumn, the Department of Social Care are launching a series of ‘Have your say’ roadshows as part of their commitment to improving service user and carer involvement across services.

At each Roadshow we will be displaying the results of our recent survey of 1,200 service users, including a series of questions intended to tell us about the perceived quality of life of our service users.  The answers to these questions will provide us with a benchmark to judge future improvements in our services.

In 2011 Adult Services embarked on a programme of change across all services to:

•         Reshape how access to services is managed
•         Develop modern services designed to help people get the services that will help them stay safely at home
•         Develop and redesign services for people with a learning disability.

There will also be information about the services we currently offer – from Social Work support to Residential Care Services and Day Centres, information about our rebalancing programme and our plans for commissioning services in the future.

A comments box will be available throughout the week for people to comment or ask questions.  On the Friday of each week there will be members of the Adult Services Leadership Team available between 10.00 and 13.00 for members of the public, service users and staff to come and chat, comment and make their views known.
