Incident averted on Mountain Road

by isleofman.com 30th September 2013
A near collision on the Mountain Road last Thursday afternoon (September 26) has prompted a police appeal for witnesses.

It happened by the 32nd Milestone between Windy Corner and the Brandywell Road at around 4.45pm.

Police say a silver car travelling towards Ramsey performed an overtaking manoeuvre and met a red van head-on, causing the van driver to take action to avoid a collision.

It is believed a number of motorists using the road may have seen what happened, in particular the driver of green car, which was travelling towards Ramsey and was overtaken by the silver car at the time.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Ramsey police on 812234.
