The Isle of Man Constabulary has appointed Juan Kinley as Inspector in charge of the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team (CNPT). He takes over responsibility from Inspector Mark Britton for operational Policing of Douglas, Onchan and Braddan.
Inspector Kinley grew up on the Island and joined the Isle of Man Constabulary in 1992, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2004, where he worked in custody and in Douglas as a patrol sergeant before working in the emergency services joint control room. He moved to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) working in the Force Intelligence Bureau in 2005. He was further promoted to the rank of Inspector in 2011, initially working in CID and has worked the last 2 years in charge of the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team, overseeing the successful move of Ramsey Police Station to its new co-located premises with Ramsey Town Commissioners at Ramsey Town Hall.
Inspector Kinley is also an experienced firearms officer and instructor, and is now part of the Constabulary’s Tactical Firearms Command.

‘I am delighted to be given the opportunity to work in such a challenging role in Central Neighbourhood Policing Team and I am looking forward to developing proactive community policing based on Ward management. I have seen the real benefits of close working relationships with the local community and want to continue to develop the strong links with partner agencies and other voluntary organisations in order to improve the quality our policing’.
