Visitors’ online booking system: PAC to investigate

The Public Accounts Committee is investigating the visitors’ online booking system. The Committee will take oral evidence next week from the Economic Development Minister, Hon John Shimmin MHK and the Head of Tourism, Angela Byrne.

A new online booking engine was introduced on 31st January 2013 for the accommodation sector of the DED’s consumer website, visitisleofman.com.

The Committee intends to take evidence about this initiative on Wednesday 9th October 2013 at 2.30 pm in the Legislative Council Chamber, Legislative Buildings, Bucks Road, Douglas. The evidence will be taken in public; members of the public are welcome to attend.
