Big wins for Marown and Onchan

by isleofman.com 5th October 2013

Gymns, Douglas Royal, Marown, Onchan and the fast improving Douglas Athletic secured victories in JCK Division Two.

A Connor Dempsey hat-trick, doubles from Mark Connor and Liam Bowley and one from Daniel Swann sealed an 8-1 win at Ronaldsway as the Tromode side stayed top.

Marown won the match of the day with a fine 3-2 win at Colby.

George Brockhouse, Niall Quayle and Stuart Morris scored for Marown in a battle between two sides, tipped to challenge for promotion, who have both endured mixed starts.

Douglas Athletic are flying and still in third place.

A James Horton treble, a Matty Entwistle brace and goals from Josh Green and Andy Newton secured a 7-0 triumph at Malew.

Doubles from Ryan Kelly and Paul Whitley and one from Simon Dooley ensured second placed Douglas Royal bounced back from last weekend’s shock defeat with a 5-2 home win over Pulrose.

Barry English grabbed a goal in each half for the visitors.

Lee Astin, Mark Rees, Mark Burman and Niall Stoddart scored the goals as Onchan won convincingly at Ayre.
