Call for more openness at commissioners

A former commissioner says if authorities and government held more open meetings there would be less pressure for a freedom of information act

Tim Norton, an Onchan representative until 2008, has written to the current board to express his concerns about the amount of business they conduct in private.

He says very little information is published regarding in-committee meetings, leading members of the public to speculate about what they are doing.

Mr Norton thinks people would benefit from a culture of openess across the Island:Clip 1
