Laxey bank to close

by isleofman.com 8th October 2013
Isle of Man Bank is closing its branch in Laxey.

The company says it’ll close down the branch on January 10 next year because demand has fallen in the village.

Isle of Man Bank managing director Bill Shimmins says no staff will lose their jobs – all workers will be redeployed elsewhere.

The bank’s branch in Kirk Michael closed in August last year and the closure will mean there are just nine branches on the Island.
