Results from Cuplus Callow's Ramsey Men's Darts League

Week 3 of the Cuplas Callow Ramsey mens darts league and Hurricane Plough shows no signs of letting up as they continue to distroy everything that comes in their way.  This week's victims were the Bar Logo going down 7-2 their only positive was a 95 finish from debutant Alan Young on his way to a 20 darter and a 2-1 win. The Plough A had Geoff Howland in blistering form yet again,  this week a 19 darter was followed by a fantastic 13 darter which included 4 x 100+, 140 and a 180 all this after going 1-0 down. Backed up by Chris Wade,  Andy Hudgeon,  Ollie Webster,  Gary Uren and Malla Callow it's hard to find a weakness.

I tipped the Mitre v Commie as a close match up and so it turned out with a fine 5-4 victory to the home side. The Mitre started fast, winning all 3 pairs games and Carl Joughin had it 4-0 to the Mitre and apart from Roy Dunlop gaining the victory against on-form Sean Walsh,  it was the Commie who just fell short after winning 4 of the 6 singles.  Their highlight was Stevie Crennell and Chris McConnell taking great scalps.

The hard start to the season for orange army from the buffs continues,  this week they went down 9-0 to probably the only side in my opinion who could upset the Plough A and they are the Commie Raven.  Nothing spectacular from the Commie boys this week but they only lost 2 legs all night and those were in the pairs.

Final match and another close one as the champions travelled to the new boys at the Swan and sitting at 4-2 down after a couple of fine pairs wins and singles from John Taylor and Stevie Waters it was left to Paul Arthur to gain the victory against Barry Sharpe but it wasn't to be and this started the Stanley's comeback winning the final 3 games and taking it 5-4.

The Plough sponsored house pairs takes centre stage next week with the fixtures in the venues.  Please note winner of game one plays the winner of game two and winner of game three plays winner of game four.  This will mean that we have two pairs going through from each venue to the following Tuesdays quarter finals at the Plough and Ali's legendary cheeseburgers.
