Anti GM campaigners march through town

A local environmental group will stage a march through Douglas town centre on Saturday afternoon (12 Oct).
Friends of the Earth’s Manx members will be marching in protest at bio-tech firm Monsanto and the dangers the group claims are posed by genetically-modified food.
Campaigners will gather at the Green Centre on Market Street in Douglas before marching from Oxfam’s shop in Castle Street at two o’clock.
It’s one of many simultaneous events being held worldwide.
