It was found that one of the two external glazed notice boards (2’ x 4’) had been damaged. The notice board is used to display public notices.<br /> <br />About 5 minutes later, a 29 year old man was arrested in the vicinity of Market Square, Ramsey, on suspicion of causing this damage. He was suffering from a serious hand injury. He was arrested, but then he was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance, for treatment.<br /> <br />Police at Ramsey have already spoken to a number of witnesses, but would be keen to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of the Spar shop (also known locally by the names of its previous incarnations, namely Pickwick, Newsmag, or Courier office) around midnight.<br /> <br />Sgt Andy Kneen would say “although officers, who were on foot patrol in the area, have made a early arrest, we would still like to hear from anyone who was in the area of the shop just after midnight”.</p><p>A 29 YR OLD Ramsey man has been charged with criminal damage in relation to this incident. He will appear at court on Monday 14th October </p>
