The Association is holding its inaugural AGM on Monday 21 October 2013.
Brief presentations will be made on the activities the charity has been engaged in during its first year of operation and also on a number of planned projects for the coming year.
Acting Chairman, Steven Dennett says it has been a very busy time for the Association’s Council of Management in getting the charity established and promoting its existence and potential services to other charities and the wider public. He added he is very excited by the numerous projects in the pipeline and the possibilities for co-operative working with charities and government agencies to provide improved health and social care services to the island’s residents.
At the AGM on Monday there will be an opportunity to elect three new members to the Council of Management and Mr Dennett says with a full complement of Council members even more should be achievable by the Association.
Following the AGM there will be an opportunity for a general discussion on topical health and care issues and it is hoped as many people as possible can attend.
The meeting is being held at the Manx Legion, Market Hill in Douglas, starting at 7.30pm prompt. All our welcome but only members of the Association will be able to vote on motions during the formal part of the meeting.
