by isleofman.com 26th October 2013

Fundraisers campaigning to beat breast cancer are taking part in contrasting events today.

This afternoon more than 50 women will run up and down the gasworks steps on South Quay in Douglas for an hour.

Registration is at 1pm at the British Legion on North Quay.

A raffle and reception will also be held there afterwards, with all proceeds going towards building a new breast cancer unit at Noble's Hospital.

Meanwhile, tonight the Archibold Knox in Onchan hosts a mhelliah with a difference, in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

Pub regulars have been donating items ranging from a holiday and clothing to a new bike and boxed trampoline.
