'Inspirational stories' give Songs of Praise broad appeal

Two episodes of the BBC's Songs of Praise programme were filmed at St German's Cathedral in Peel at the weekend.

David Grant is the presenter of the first one, which will be shown on Advent Sunday (December 1).

He admits hymns are not to everyone's taste, so feels the show's broad and enduring appeal is down to the inspirational stories which are told:

The second programme, which focuses on the Island's culture, will be broadcast in spring next year on a date to be confirmed.
