by isleofman.com 28th October 2013

Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to a serious assault which occurred around midnight on Friday 25th October, in a flat in Clifton Terrace, Douglas.

Investigating Officer, Constable Kelly Wilkinson said, “I’d like to hear from any person who might have seen any activity in the area of Clifton Terrace or adjoining streets around that time. It is believed that a bladed article was involved and the victim, a 34 year old man, from Douglas, received treatment for his injuries, which are not life threatening. There have been four people arrested following this offence however our enquiries are continuing. I would like to reassure the public that although this was a serious assault, it was a contained incident and it is believed there was no risk to the public in general.  If you do have information please call us on 631212 or alternatively via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
