Police probe 'serious assault'

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault which is believed to have involved a blade.



It happened at around midnight on Friday, in a flat on Clifton Terrace, Douglas.


Officers want to hear from anyone who might have seen any activity in the area of Clifton Terrace, or nearby streets, around that time.



A 34-year-old man from Douglas received treatment for his injuries, which are not life threatening.



Four people have been arrested.



Police are reassuring people that although this was a serious assault, it was a contained incident and it is believed there was no risk to the public in general.
