End in sight to upland damage?

An MHK says he’s optimistic damage to the Island’s uplands will be significantly reduced over the next few years.

North Douglas member Bill Henderson has long campaigned against groups who destroy upland tracks and raised the issue in the House of Keys yesterday (Tuesday).

He’s calling for a common sense approach and has thanked those who help preserve the Manx countryside.

With a new working group established to tackle the problem, Mr Henderson says he’s encouraged by government support and wants to focus on the irresponsible minority.Clip 1
