Yesterday, Thursday October 31st 2013, Mrs Elizabeth Caracher Quirk of Eary Vane, Alexander Drive, Douglas was elected to serve as a councillor for Athol ward in the Borough of Douglas until May 1st 2016, in accordance with the Local Elections Act 1986 and the Local Election Rules, 2003.
The total number of votes given for each candidate in the election were:
GELLING, Thomas Michael: 132
QUIRK, Elizabeth Caracher: 280
Turnout for the election was 11.2%.
