The partnership between the Noble’s Healing Arts programme and the Arts Council makes it possible to promote the healing process through events such as these piano recitals, poetry and writing, galleries and exhibitions, bespoke artwork for wards and departments, artist-led workshops for patients and community outreach programmes.
There is increasing recognition that people’s health and wellbeing is influenced by a range of interconnecting factors. The Department of Health and the Arts Council firmly believe that the arts have an important part to play in improving the health and wellbeing of people in many ways. The programme encourages patients to explore art in a new way, having a beneficial impact on patient recovery and wellbeing.
