Hospice signs new deal with Department of Health

by isleofman.com 7th November 2013
Hospice Isle of Man has signed a new, five-year deal to continue to provide palliative care for the Department of Health.
The department will pay the hospice a fixed annual rate for the duration of the contract, as well as offering support such as staff education, radiology and pathology, anaesthetic and ambulance services for patients in its care.
Chairman of Hospice Sir Miles Walker says the charity is particularly pleased to have reached the agreement, considering the grant is being given in the current, cautious financial climate.
