Families with high incomes set to lose child benefit

by isleofman.com 9th November 2013
Higher earners on the Isle of Man are set to lose their child benefit.
Plans have been unveiled to bring an end to payments for families with an annual income above ?90,000.
There’ll also be a reduction on a sliding scale for couples who earn more than ?60,000, if Tynwald backs the proposals.
Social Care Minister Chris Robertshaw says they can’t continue to pay people ‘who simply don't need it.’
