Ramsey remembers

by isleofman.com 11th November 2013

Ramsey’s annual civic service of Remembrance on Sunday November 10th saw veterans and civilians gather in the Courthouse grounds to pay their respects and observe a two-minute silence at 11am.

The service attracted exceptionally large numbers, including many young people, prompting Ramsey Town Commissioners’ chairman Captain Nigel Malpass to observe: ‘The ceremony united the people of Ramsey in commemorating the war dead. It was particularly moving to see so many of the town’s younger generation standing alongside their elders to pay tribute to an older generation of brave men and women who died in conflict.’
