Government support for Phillipines

by isleofman.com 11th November 2013
Chief Minister Allan Bell has written to the Filipino ambassador to Britain to express the Island’s solidarity with people there.

Super-typhoon Haiyan is estimated to have killed more than 10,000 people in the country, leaving up to another 10 million in desperate need of help.

In his letter to the Filipino embassy in London, Mr Bell offers his condolences for the devastation and loss of life.

Meanwhile, the Manx government’s International Development Committee says it’s preparing to announce what help it can provide to the Phillipines.
