The Isle of Man has pledged more aid for the typhoon-hit areas of the Philippines than China.

The Government’s International Development Committee says it’ll send ?100,000 in emergency aid via the Disaster Emergency Committee.

An estimated 12,000 people have been killed and another 11 million have had their lives disrupted.

Committee chairman Phil Gawne says the body had no hesitation pledging the funding after seeing the super-storm’s aftermath.

China’s been facing criticism after pledging just ?63,000.
