Public thanked for their patience as GP Practices experience computer problems

by isleofman.com 13th November 2013

All GP Practices on the Island are currently experiencing intermittent but ongoing computer problems, which means that, at times, practice staff are experiencing difficulty in being able to access the appointment booking system and electronic patient records and notes.

The Department of Health which, through Government’s Information Systems Division (ISD), provides IT services to all of the Island’s GP Practices, is aware of the issue and is liaising with ISD whose officers are urgently working to address the issue.

The public are thanked for their patience and understanding for any delays or difficulties when making appointments and when being seen by GPs and Practice Nurses.  The Department apologises for any inconvenience caused and hopes to have the situation resolved in the near future.
