Citywing extend Friend Fly Free offer

by isleofman.com 14th November 2013

The Isle of Man could be set for a further boost in visitor numbers following Citywing’s decision to extend its ‘Friends Fly Free’ offer.

Initially only available for passengers travelling from Blackpool to the Island, the promotion has now been extended to include Newcastle and Gloucester airports.

The offer allows anyone who books a return flight to the Isle of Man, with a stay of more than one day, to claim a free trip for a friend, as long as the friend isn’t resident in the Island and has not visited in the last six months.

Citywing Managing Director David Buck said: ‘We have been delighted with the success of this offer on our Blackpool route, which has helped encourage even more people to visit the Isle of Man and discover what we have to offer.’

‘By extending this promotion to Newcastle and Gloucester, we hope to see even more people taking advantage of the opportunity to explore the Isle of Man and share the experience with a companion at a very competitive rate.’

The promotion, available until February 2014, was launched in conjunction with Isle of Man Tourism.

Laurence Skelly, DED political member for Isle of Man Tourism, added: "I am delighted that Citywing have extended this promotion to include Newcastle and Gloucester. I wish them further success with this initiative. The Isle of Man is a great place to visit throughout the year with over 221 square miles of some of the most scenic unspoilt landscapes in Britain. We have a fantastic offering for those interested in heritage and culture with award winning-heritage experiences and with 2014 being the Island of Culture there will be plenty for visitors to experience from New Year onwards.”
