10-goal Bacchas A stun rivals

by isleofman.com 17th November 2013
Bacchas A have taken a major step towards retaining the title.

A 10-2 thrashing of arch rivals Valkyrs A – who were under strength – has moved them to within touching distance of retaining the PWC Mixed Premier Division.

A six goal haul from Andy Whiting led the rout.

Jamie Brown and Tom Wilson each netted doubles as the championship was all but decided.

Sam Quinn and Greg Miller scored the Valkyrs’ consolations.

Andy Harding hit a hat-trick as Vikings A ran out easy winners over Celts.

Kate Errock, Sarah Breen, Jonny Killey and Conor Byrne grabbed the others in a 7-1 win.

Paul Kelly notched the sole Celts’ reply.

Valkyrs B gained what could be a vital two points with victory in the basement battle.

Stephen Moore, Chris Thomas and Alice Henderson grabbed the goals in a 3-2 victory over Vikings B, who replied through David Millward and Ashley Osborne.

Bacchas B and Ramsey A fought out a goalless draw in the remaining top flight match.
