Flybe staff seek rescue talks

by isleofman.com 18th November 2013
Flybe staff facing redundancy are to seek rescue talks with the Manx government.

It follows the airline’s decision to shut its Isle of Man base next March with the loss of 49 jobs.

There will also be redundancies in 12 other cities in the UK, Channel Islands and Northern Ireland as part of a cost-cutting plan.

Terry Liddiard from passenger watchdog Travel Watch says the Island cannot afford to lose the skills and must move to safeguard important routes, such as the Guernsey government did.Clip 1
