Event in support of the newly established Isle of Man Food Bank

by isleofman.com 18th November 2013
The local Interfaith Group, in conjunction with the One World Centre, will be hosting a gathering at Noa Bakehouse, Fort Street, Douglas on Monday 25th November starting at 7.30pm on the subject "Thought for Food".

They will explore different perspectives on food and there will also be a short presentation about the launch of the newly established Isle of Man Food Bank.  A number of agencies drawn from community, faith and voluntary organisations have come together with government departments to establish the food bank, which will provide valuable assistance to families and individuals in crisis.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.   If you wish to purchase refreshments before the event, please arrive by 7pm.   Anyone wishing to bring foodstuffs for the Food Bank are asked to see the list of acceptable goods on the Isle of Man Interfaith Group Facebook page.

You are warmly invited to join us for an entertaining and thought-provoking evening.
